Introducing Colorado Electric Co-op Advocates
The Colorado Rural Electric Association is launching Colorado Electric Co-op Advocates, or CECA, a new statewide grassroots network that gives co-op members like you a simple, effective way to stay informed and speak up on the issues that matter most to your community.
This is a real opportunity to make your voice heard by policymakers. Politics are moving more toward people-powered advocacy, and that gives electric co-ops an advantage. Lawmakers hear from lobbyists like me every day. But when people like you share your lived experience, it helps shape the conversation to reflect your way of life. With your engagement, we can move votes and improve outcomes for us all.
You know your community and your co-op better than anyone. CECA will simply give you the information, the tools, and the timing you need to make your voice heard.
Key State-Level Energy Policy Priorities
We’ll keep you informed on the state-level policy priorities that matter most — policies like electric rates and reliability, the safe operation of the electric system, and your co-op’s ability to make decisions locally and respond to the needs of its members.
CECA will also advocate for efforts on wildfire prevention and resiliency alongside liability policies that support responsible wildfire mitigation, protect electric affordability, and preserve the financial stability of co-ops across the state.
