BURN FUNDS TO BENEFIT LINEWORKERS

 MESA HOTLINE SCHOOL BURN FUND

The Mesa Hotline School has established a burn fund to assist the families who have a loved one who has received serious burns in an electrical contact of fire. Any member of the Hotline School may request a donation on a person’s behalf by contacting the school’s secretary. Those with electrical burns are eligible for up to $1,000 and those with a flash burn are eligible for up to $500.

CREA BURN FUND

The CREA Burn Fund was initially funded by the Colorado Women’s Task Force and is now operated through the Colorado Electric Educational Institute (CEEI). Any member cooperative, manager or director, or Women’s Task Force member may request a donation on a person’s behalf from this fund by contacting CREA staff. An on-duty co-op employee hospitalized as a result of an electrical burn or fall is eligible to request up to $1,000. The family of an on-duty co-op employee involved in an accident resulting in the death of that employee is eligible to request up to $1,000. Personnel working for an independent contractor for a member co-op is eligible to request up to $500.
